In the quaint village of Damalas, the Cycladic Pottery Workshop offers a fascinating look into an age-old art form. Under the guidance of Manolis Lybertas, a fourth-generation potter, visitors can see how raw clay is sculpted into timeless pieces. Traditional items such as the sfouni (wine jug) and tyromethira (cheese drying vessel) highlight the historical importance of pottery in Greek culture.

The Citrus Distillery of Halki – A Taste of Tradition

Nestled in the heart of Halki Village, the Citrus Distillery of Naxos invites guests on a journey of flavors and aromas. Founded in 1862, this historic distillery produces local liqueurs from hand-picked citrus fruits. Visitors can observe the distillation process, explore the original stills, and indulge in a tasting session featuring the iconic Kitron of Naxos.

Apeiranthos – The Cultural Gem of Naxos

Often called the “marble village,” Apeiranthos is famed for its cobblestone streets, elegant stone houses, and traditional Greek charm. Here, visitors can explore five distinctive museums, each offering a different perspective on Naxian culture, folklore, and history. The village’s iconic Zevgolis Tower provides a striking example of medieval Venetian architecture.

Eggares Village

Complete our luxury tour by exploring the traditional olive press in Eggares Village. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a free guided tour and an informative presentation on the historical olive oil production process. Following the tour, you will taste for free an array of infused olive oils and savor delectable treats made with olives, including Mama’s fantastic olive bread, cookies, cakes, and other treats.

The entrance fees for the Temple of Demeter (4€ per person, cash only) are not included in this tour package.

The archaeological site of the Temple of Demeter is closed every Tuesday.
